  1.

I had totally the same problem.

So I changed all 8 coils and plugs, MAF sensors, pre-cat O2 sensors, booth fuel pumps, I also cleaned and reset throttle body, and did smoke vacuum leak test, but there was no leaks. All that and Idle drop and rough idle was still there. However, in the end I changed hydraulic engine mounts, and believe it or not, all roughness is gone, and cars is super smooth again. It's PITA job to change it but it's doable and worth every penny.

gbratk, can you hit the highlights on the procedure you went through to DIY your motor mounts?  What did you have to remove? Any tips?

    Thanks

    Here is another DIY:

  2. Hi,

I have to change transmission in my Cayenne S, and I need to know I transmission from 2008 Cayenne S fits to my car? I know it will be jut bolt on, but I wondering if there is any major software difference in TCM. I already have new updated TCM so I dont need pressure switches in valve body any more. If I'm right, there is no internal difference in transmission, so I believe it should work. I can also get TCM from this transmission, but I believe it would be problem pairing it with ECM (dme engine control module).

I kindly asking for any help.

    Thank you

  4. That is great to hear!

I was also thinking about that when I had valve body problems. But I was afraid to do that, because of this 'REVMAX' post on Touareg forum:

I can GUARANTEE that it will NOT fix the problem and that no valve body rebuilding company will accept your core... That kit should be off the market, it destroys the linear solenoid valves...

However if this kit repaired your valve body, it can also help to others...

Keep us posted and post some pictures.

  5. Hi,

I have problems with PCM 2.0 in my 04 CS.

I get message 'System error: Unknown, Unknown, Unknown...' every time I start the car.

When I press confirm, message goes away. The whole system (radio, navi, phone, cd, cd charger, trip computer...) is working without any problems. There is just that annoying message, which making me nervous every time I sit in the car...

Does anyone know what could be problem?

Here is picture which I borrowed in 997 forum.

    Thank you.

  6. I should be written somewhere in instrument cluster. If its RB4, it has Gateway built in the instrument cluster, and if its RB8 there is no gateway in instrument cluster, but it's under passenger glow box. So if you bought the right one there will be no problem, you'll just have to code options with piwis, durematric or vag-com, But if you where not bought the right one, it will not work.

I believe the RB4 cluster where changed with RB8 in 2005 models, but I'm not sure about that.
