  1. After doing some reaserch on the net :drive: I found a post in another forum that addresses all the questions, bugs and "not sure" on this topic. :clapping: The DIY instructions given and the COLOR pictures + the instructions at the Dension GateWay 500 site, give me suficient confidence to takle the project. I will be installing it today. :jump: Since the post is in another forum not sure if I can give the link in this post. If I can let me know I will glady give the link.

  2. Hello! Here is some about Dension. We have one installed last week in 2005 CT, works good, sound and control is great, switch playlists from steereng wheel!!! Tags display ok, but sometime playlist and traks swith with delay, don know why, may be we used old NANO - manual notify about last firmware in Ipod. Installation not so difficult, but I think you should be skilled in cayenne and electronics to install this unit. You can hide unit in the trunk on your choice - if f you have CD changer or amplifier installed. And do not forget swith unit back to changer if one installed before leave a car in dealers workshop - danger to pay money for fixing error in most ring - cd changer))))

    OVERALL - NICE, RECOMMENDED.

    Alex

PS As I know, difference between software versions of PCM can cause different "bugs" in controllig unit, especially regarding 2003-2004 MY.

Do you have any pictures of the Dension unit installed in the trunk? I bought a Gateway 500 unit and I am curious of how you secured the unit. Thanks!!

PS: I will be intalling mine this week end.

  3. I bought it 4 weeks ago at Al & Ed’s Autosound. They had to order it but only took 3 days to get it. I little pricey but worth it to me. I paid $795 for the OPi-P unit.

Here is the wed site. I am not sure why its 1300 bucks now.

You can get it for $599 + $89 for the plug n play option?? directly with NAV-TV. You can email them at Gary@nav-tv.com. Gary Tepper is the National Sales Manager. ;)

  4. I’m afraid so. Problem is this is how you access the ipod. You need to select CD changer on your head unit to select the input from the OPi-P unit. If you had both the CD changer and the OPi-P plugged in I am not sure what would happen. Why would you need both? Put all your CDs on the ipod and if you need to listen to a CD use the head unit.

I installed my OPi-P unit in the CD charger compartment so I wouldn’t have to pull the head unit. Just incase I have any warranty issues I can remove it in 5 seconds. It works really well and was very easy to install. You can kinda do it without any tools. I just used pliers to crimp spade connectors onto the power and ground wires. Then I plugged them into the CD changer cable already in the CD changer compartment. I plugged in the optical cable also in the CD changer compartment and the ipod cable and I was listening to sweet non-static ipod music. 2 minute install. Funny thing is the guys at the shop wanted a 100 bucks to install it… ;)

Do you have any pictures? What's the Plug and play option? :clapping:

  5. Any body knows if the Toureg Factory Roof Rack Bars would fit a Cayenne? I find them more stylish, plus they come in BLACK <_<

I found out they fit but cannot be doubled as a spolier, which is the intention on the Toureg( posterior placement of both roof racks) I guess best option would be original OEM Cayenne roof racks and then paint them black!! :(

  6. I haven't tried it but I can tell you Gert Carnewal is a Contributing Member here and a lot of us have done business with him. Top quality - fast shipping - great support from every dealing I've had with him.

If you have any concerns about the product or install call him or email him - his user name here is: Gert

I have also done buisnes with him in the past, I agree 100% with you, was just courious on how well the module works compared to Techart which is a lot more expensive.
