  1. I have done 2 others since mine, and found a easier way to do it.. If you take the new strips and line them up with the ones in the dash, you can see exactly where the screws are. Then take a small drill bit and drill the holes out until you reach the tip of the screw. Then take a larger drill bit out make a bigger hole. One this is done you can pry the hole thing out with a flat head screwdriver. Once I got the first one out the rest just popped out by pulling. Also if you like to switch back and fourth from Carbon to Aluminum thats not a problem cause your not screwing the new ones in, just a little glue to hold them, its a tight fit as it is. I'll post pics later.. rennlist gallery is down again :(
  2. Very Nice Loren.. great Idea... are you going to go to Laguna Seca this weekend? I'll be there Sunday with www.coastaldriving.org
  3. Skl, I used the Prodigy Tekonsha... I think my wiring is incorrect, although it was working when I used it, the numbers were jumping around, so It needs to be wired directly to the brake switch.
  4. Great color combo choice! Yes those are 22"s. Actually the ride is just fine.. I went for a ride in mine then immediately jumped in a steel suspenion S with 18" and mine was actually smoother. Good choice on getting the PASM.. you will be pleased!
  5. Yes you do.. just had mine done... Painted front grills silver, also had the front and side moldings sanded smooth and painted to match black.. (rear was already done) Click Pics for High Res.. Stay tuned for the Carnewal Aluminum Pedals later this week :)
  6. I tow a 20 foot boat and my 69 911 race car with a open trailer.. The only problem I had was when a trailer was connected right signal on and braking caused a check trailer light to go on.. A updated control module solved that problem. If you ordered Air suspension you will be very happy with it. I can cruise at 85 without even feeling the load behind me.
  7. Also a FYI for you guys our car has a motion detector.. when the top is down and you lock the car with the remote the motion detector inside is diabled. If you get out of the car reach over and hold that same switch up as you arm the alarm it will trick into thinking the top is closed and it will arm the motion detector. I dont understand why they would disable this feature when the top is down.. probably don't want to deal with people bringing there cars in for false alarms... PS The windows still hold up at 120mph :)
  8. You leave the throttle and dead plate, the brake and clutch rubber pedals are removed
  9. Does anyone know if the carpet kit for the coupe is the same as the cab? I assume all of the front is.. but does the back area fit the same? I see they are different part numbers so there must be some difference?
  10. Well it wasn't real easy but having 4 hands is helpful... First remove the bumper and headlights... several screws are removed from inner wheel wells in order to get to the screw that hold the bumper in place, Once those are removed there is a plastic release then holds the bumper slides in & out of on the sides... As one holds the bumper, the other guy detached tubing if you have pop up headlight washers, also remove one wire harness if you have PDC... Once off.. then drill holes on the inside where they are clearly marked for you... Different size holes are need for propper fitment. Then attach plate and attach round washers once plate is in... Use a socket and a hammer to lock down those large washers... Also where the tow hooks are, that area around where the exsiting cover was needs to be cut so that the plate sits flush on the bumper.. as seen here... Then put her all back together.. Also I changed out the H11 Fog lights to match the Bi-Xenons color now.. And it will look like this.. Only good pic I have from a distance since I installed before my race last weekend..
  11. Jimmy ask for Andrew at Weissach.. tell him you want the February special... Free Shipping $399 to your door... Get the RUFS!!! tell him I sent you!

  13. I went to Pep Boys, and I found a silver wheel paint, it looks great.. even better then the stock look.. I will take some photos and post them I taped up the area where the black logo of the trunk.hood is... some of the black came off when I pulled the tape off. but it still looks ok..
  14. I tried installing that on our 01 Boxster and it didn't work. He sent me a new one today.. and still no worky... I'm gatting back to them find out what the story is.. PS It is the grey & pink wire... also you will need the keys to pull the radio out.. FYI
  15. Yea you can reuse the rivits, the platic screws will strip on top when pulling them out, just use needle nose vice scrips.. Then the pop right back in.. Thanks for the tip in the allies :)
  16. Steve, from my experienece I have heard of one other guy that was able to get the screws out from the back.. I tried and lost patience.. Its very very difficult.. Just buy a extra set and have them painted.. there inexpensive.. Lets see pics when your done!
  17. Chad you need to go Gangster style into driveways!!! I just removed Justin's yesterday.. Im ordering two of them.. let me know if you need one, I'll add it the order.. I'll call you tomorrow with some news on the 69!!
  18. Well I figured it all out this morning before I saw your post, yes your correct that pic was of the new one going in.. I also repainted the silver levers, so I had to remove those as well. The tip about not remove the screws completely would have helped me, but I figured out how to screw them back in and then put the piece back.. Thanks again!!
  19. This is the piece on the drivers side that has the manual trunk/engine release.. And memory seats... There are three holes I peeked in one and can't tell what kind of screw, nut, hex, whatever is in there.. its also way in there so a long head is needed to get to it.. The one in the middle may be difficult to get to... does the seat have to come out? Here is a pic of the whole piece out of the car...(replacing the last speckled grey piece in the car) Pic of the slot where screw goes in..
  20. You know when I put in the music keg, I removed the wires that were hooked up to that harness.. There was a existing cell phone in the car when we bought it.. So will see if it pops again.. I will tape it up to be sure..
  21. That was it Fuse E6 was blown.. I'll fill it up tomorrow to be sure! Thanks guys!!
  22. 01 Boxster.. its been 13 days since last fill up so we know its low... She has been to 4 different stations, gas goes in for a bit then shoots back out!! And sprays all over you :( What the heck causes that?
