Hi All,
All you veteran porsche owners would probably know already but dont put any coins in your ashtray.
I'm a newby porsche owner and whilst i've never put coins in my ashtray the previous owner may have.
I checked there because I read a post at the pelican site about coins finding its way inside console.
When i checked under ashtray i saw 4quarters already. I dont know how to remove console so i took a stick of gum and a long screwdriver and after about 30 min I ended up w/ 5 dollars and 42 cents? not bad for 30 min work?
Need help if anybody can suggest easy way to take out console, I'm not satisfied i got all the coins out and a bad penny might get into places where they really should not be?
I'm also going to tackle changing my sparks plugs this weekend ($18 each at the dealer!!) So any advice would help me lots. I also took out the throttle body and it was soaked in oil and air filter also dirty so I guess previous owner did not change it. But I am enjoying it.

Eric,
Thanks for the links and advice. I got the console out and I pulled out 75cents more. My mission is acomplished at least for now. That console paint suggestion is really a good idea. Thanks
Mike,
I should have done my homework first b4 bought plugs from dealer. I will order a set for the next time and I will get that none smoking console since i dont smoke. By the way the plug change took me about 5 hours! As i said earlier, should have done my homework first, I did not have the proper allen key wrench, I just had those L shaped keys. But you know what with all the coins I gained I'm going to buy me a good wrench! Thanks for your kind words and making me feel welcome.
