  1. Thanks for sharing your experience. It is not re-assuring that the issue is not easily identified.

I will follow with TSB and see if 1.1V is present so I can rule out MAF.

The throttle plate cleaning appeared to help in my situation in the past so I may pursue that route.

The only other thing I can imagine is a vacuum leak causing this to occur...... Especially when cold.

    Good luck!

  2. I have a phenomenon that occurs under all conditions but is worse when cold on my 2005 CS.When coming to a stop at a speed faster than a crawl, the engine RPMs dip to 400 rpm on the tach and then recovers back to normal speed of about 500.I can hear the engine lug down a bit when it hits 400 but quickly recovers. This issue occurred a few years ago but was "fixed" at the dealer by cleaning the throttle plate. Before digging into the intake, I wanted to see if there was a definitive fix to this issue.Anybody else seen this?

  3. Here's a chart showing the Back Spacing (BS) vs. Front Spacing (FS) for various widths and offset (ET)

    W ET BS FS

    9 60 6.86 2.14 <<--- = Stock 20x9

    9 43 6.19 2.81 <<--- = Stock 20x9 w/17mm spacer

    10 50 6.97 3.03 <<--- = TSW 20x10

    9.5 52 6.80 2.70 <<--- = OZ 20x9.5

As you can see the TSW's actually stick out farther than the stock wheels with the 17mm spacer (3.03 vs. 2.81)

    Good info, Thanks!

  4. What are the 17mm Wheel Spacers option for in the Cayenne?

Are they required to fit 19" or 20" wheels on the Cayenne or is it just to widen the track/improve appearance?

Just for widen tha rear track/improving the appearance. Can not be used together with all types of wheels.

Just had them installed for all four 20" Sport Technos on 05 Cayenne TT. Appearance is much more aggressive and makes the wheels look absolutely perfect....not sure why this does not come standard since it's such an inexpensive part.

My dealer mentioned that Porsche recommends that the spacers were not to be used with the Technos. I'm sure it pushes the wheels out toward the body edge too much for Porsche's comfort.

I personally like the stuffed look.

Here's a pic of my '05 CS with Victor LeMans wheels.
