  1. lots of posts on this..

check for wet carpets. esp the front ones. you will need to pull back the carpet and be sure that the carpet padding is dry.

check the subwoofer area for water/dampness.

clean the front cowl drains if you have not done this already..a must on all cayenne

make sure the other drains ..wiper area, sunroof, under the sill in front of the rear wheels, rear hatch, AC drain hole. are all clear.

also will happen if AC has been on and the switched off. but you mention that it occurs after the rains.

  2. CTT 2004 78Kmiles.

car starts up first time..there is no chugging or struggle to start up.

but first thing when cold/over night, the starter still whirrs for about half a second as if still engaged to the crank..

when the engine is warm , there is no issues

could this be a bad return spring or solenoid problem or failing starter or weak battery?

any advice on what action to take please?

( the coolent tubes are aluminium and changed a while back by previous owner)

    cheers

  3. hi, my first post here,

    got a 2004 CTT.

all 8 coils changed last week due to one failing and the car being new to me.

there is a very mild "pinking' type of rough idle weather the car is hot or cold.

reading other treads for the possible causes...where can i find

    1) the EGR valve

    2) idle control valve

    3) i know that this is a biggy but where wold i start to check if there is a vacuum issue?

my plan was to remove and clean both the valves with brake disc cleaning fluid/isopropelene.

any other suggestions would be great.

    thanks
