:unsure: I just bought a 2001 996 C4 and want to change it's oil before putting up for winter. It is so much different than my 89 911. I take it the pan underneath is the oil pan and the filter is under there too? Is the filter all in one or does center element come out? What viscosities are best during winter (I live in mountains of Colorado)

You might want to re-consider changing the oil in the Spring (or when ever you take the car out of storage), rather than before going into storage....

Try an electronics hobby store like Radio Shack...
Or any automotive parts store will also carry it.
Refer to it as electrical contact cleaner- the non residue type... :D
