  1. Happy new year gents,

My rear hatch kessy access stopped working, the PIWIS scan tool showed faults in the kessy antennas which are under the rear bumper.

Would anyone be able to give me part numbers please, its a 2008, 957 Cayenne Turbo.

    Thanks!

Oops, looks like I posted this one in the wrong section. Perhaps the mods can move it over pls.

  2. The drivers side door lock on my 957 TT is not giving contact anymore. The mechanical part functions well, the door opens and closes. The problem is when I open the door the interior light does not go on. Porsche service said that I can get locked out.

They advised to replace the Front Door lock part no: 95553101508 together with the door lock rivet 90825801

The question is perhaps it is possible to repair this lock? What to check for.

  3. My wheels are just getting repaired and repainted and we had to remove the pressure sensors and valve stems. Thinking if it's a good idea to place the old valve stems back?

The valve stems have a gasket, they do look fine but I am afraid that they might leak when used again? Has anyone had any experience with this.

  4. Got it.
What is the recommended oil for the 2008 Cayenne Turbo gearbox?

I have received a quote from the dealer which looks OK.

I did find other independent repair shops who offer "dynamic" gearbox oil changes, they have a special machine which flushes all the old oil out completely, versus the oil changes the dealer does which leaves some old oil in. Any thoughts?

  5. Allrighty folks, thought I write a small follow up on this topic.

    In the end I ordered the part 955 552 160 01 7BA

My truck has the Aluminum package with Steel Grey interior trim.

Here is the issue, the replacement part is with a different colour. Old part on the back and new part in the front, the second problem is that the new part has two holes for the power outlets opposed to the old one with one.

As I allready had the part and couldn't return it anymore I went ahead and took the power outlet off my old cover and placed it in the new one.

In the end I just replaced my Steel grey interior cover with the new one, by pushing out the two rods which hold the hinges. Pretty easy to do IMO, just be careful not to loose the "springs" which are in the hinges.

Now I need to find the second outlet to fill the empty hole..

Anyhow, be sure to mention that you have 1 or 2 outlets, as I do not remember if I mentionet that whilst ordering the part and go the one with two holes.

  6. I had the same question with my cayenne. It has the OEM analogue tuner installed, but now they have moved over to Digital in my country...as far as I found there is no simple way. You can try and install a third party digital tuner, but that will require pulling the IR eye somewhere in the dash for the separate digital tuner remote to work.

In the end I decided not to deal with it, the PCM screen is too small anyway to watch TV.

  7. Got a problem on my 2008 cayenne turbo..
I replaced my OEM rotors and pads which were done to Brembo rotors and Textar pads, they were fine couple of first days but now squeak loudly just before stopping the car. This is getting pretty annoying, I have already tried going faster then usual and breaking heavily, but they still squeak. Perhaps there might of been an installation error, and the pads are not secured c

  8. Guys...I was thinking to buy a roof transport system together with the OEM bicycle carrier.

Having a look around, it looks like the OEM cross braces will not fit on my cayenne as I allready have the rails installed?

So my question is, will these cross braces fit a cayenne which has the stock roof rails installed?

As I understand they are mounted like this:

    80-95504400072lr_cd6b349af5e49ab90290805

And my cayenne which has the roof rails would need cross braces like this:

    80-95504400035lr_d0b993550d19ad5c8a636ef

    Any thoughts?
