Thanks much. I have to replace a signal light on the driver side too so will pull this out. I did find a guy selling the whole mirror minus the class for a good price. And it's the correct color.

 Any idea if I need a new motor or to take the mirror apart and clean something?

Looks like this is a made to order interior. The console will not typically be the same color as the seats unless asked for at order time. 

Thanks, I just bought an engine  hoist. I am trying to figure out how to strap the engine. I'll probably start with the tranny first. I want to put the tranny on the engine stand and change the oil and filter. What bolts do I use to secure the tranny to the engine stand. I think the bolts must be quite long. This is a tip tranny.

Well, I have an engine that needs to be worked on. However it is on the floor and I need it to be on the engine stand. How do I go about strapping this thing down so I can move it ??

Thanks all. What I did was remove the brake line bracket. Now I have the soft line connected to the hard line and that hard line connected to the caliper. Big problem though. Now I don't have the bracket on. When I took it all apart and put the bracket back on I am back at square one where nothing lines up. 

If I order the two hard lines to the caliper what are the chances that they will plug right in and line up? I don't have a brake line bender. Also can I just leave the bracket off? Will that cause any problems? Thanks. 

I was able to bleed the brakes once I connected everything and that went well.

Thanks, so do you think I have the right hard lines? 

I am almost there with the Brake job on my project. One problem though. How do I connect the hard brake line to the caliper? I have connected the soft brake hose line from the hard line coming from the master cylinder area. However the hard brake line (small curved piece with red cap) doesn't seem to line up to the connector on the caliper. Do I bend it and make it fit  or is there an actual part to order. Here are some pics. I tried to find good steel lines but have been having a hard time finding some blue ones. 

Ok, I found out how one of these go onto the car. The pic on the left is a holder bracket for the radiator vent hose. It is screwed onto a section of the radiator bracket. I still am looking to see where the other bracket goes. I also found out that the hoses changed on the 2006 porsche. The quick disconnect hoses are now replaced with regular hoses with regular clips and if you want quick disconnect, you have to buy two "adapters". So I am looking for the original hoses from a 2005-2007 911. 

Hi. I am putting together a project car (2006 C2S 3.8L) and have the radiators fitted except for a small item. My Pet diagram doesn't show how this part goes onto the radiator. Like most of PET it shows the parts exploded but out of context. It is a 997.106.453.00 it is some kind of hose holder. The second picture is this part 997.106.231.01. I don't know where it goes either.

I was at the dealer in Long Beach this morning and they said that they didn't know how the item would go onto the car as they didn't have a 2206 997.1 to look at. Scary I know!. This tells me most of these guys are flying by the seat of there pants and the computer.

Any pics of this part on the car would be quite helpful. Or a good diagram. Thanks

I recently purchased some used radiator air ducts for my 2006 C2S. The airducts looked great and no broken clips in the photo and when I spoke to the seller. However when the air ducts arrived some of the clips where you slide the air ducts onto the radiator were broken. I did see where the seller tried to tape them up to protect them so I can't blame the seller. The post office I can blame.

Well has anyone ever repaired their air ducts clips? If so how did you do it? Bodyshop maybe? plastics fabricator? I hate to have to buy two more of these.

Hi RT. I am trying to install a couple of front fenders on my C2S. I have the left fender. I am ordering the bolts and screws. However does anyone have a DIY on this? I haven't seen one. I will do one since none is availabel but I need some diagrams. The ones online simply explode the parts out but very difficult to tell where they go. For instance I haven't seen a diagram that shows where to screw on the bottom part of the fender. a/ny help is appreciated.

I will be collecting this cowl part from my local porshe dismantler. I did have a question though. Isn't there a difference in the cowl part? my understanding is that some cowls are for the cars with antenna and navigation and some cowls are for non navigation cars. There is a metal underplate for the antenna on some cowls. Anyone know anything about this?

I was able to go visit my PCar project today. Man I love being around so many Porsches even if many of them are in need of some major TLC. Well my car needs a fender and front bumper to start with. We will get to the major bits soon enough.

Please take a look at the picture. I am trying to find a service manual that can show me how to install a fender on this 2006 Carrera S Sport edition. It is a Tip+ (whatever that gets you). Does anyone have a diagram that can guide me to what gets plugged into where etc.?

Also if you can recommend a good service manual with engine install instructions that would be great. Thanks.

Hello RT. I am looking to replace the dirver side fender on a 997 2006 Carrera S. It also needs a bumper (front with washers). I also need the stock headlights.

I am hoping to do this myself. The fender has quite a few lines running behind it for washers and things. Any tips, DIY for fender replacement or direction to a good 911 repair manual would be outstanding. Thanks.

Thank you. I was able to run my vin and found out they are "cocoa". Not sure if the Midnight Blue Metallic with Cocoa is a good match.

Mine is broken as well on my 2005 Titanium Metallic / Black interior - silver trim cayenne S. May check LA Dismantler for the part. I have a more pressing issue with the Passenger seat back needing to be reglued  :cursing:

I have been trying to find some pictures of different types of porsche Carrera S seats. Mainly from 2006 model year. In particular the dark brown (almost look chocolate) with stitching,  perforated seats. Does anyone have these types of seats or have ever seen them? Thxs
