Hello, I would like to revitalize this thread. I have a 97 Boxster. I am looking at the following wheels. Will I have enough clearance? Are there any issues with the width. I am well aware of the Porsche bulletin concerning 18" wheels. I am more concerned about the width.
18x8 + 57 235 40 18 Michelin ps2
18x9 + 43 265 40 18 Michelin ps2

Im looking to purchase and have installed some projector headlights for a 1997 boxster. Any suggestions, where to buy and have the work done Toronto and east.

I am able to switch everything, including the computer, its the outside air temp that I can't switch.
-
It has to be possible, i can change the heating / AC between metric, and imperial, the outside air temp must be changeable.
-
I can change the speedo by turn the clock set button to the left for 3 seconds, but the out side air temp is in imperial, id like to change it to metric.

So i pulled the trigger and bought my first boxster! I have an American car imported into Canada. The analogue cluster shows MPH. there is a digital readout for KMs per hour.
The temperature is in Fahrenheit, is there a way to have it display metric (Celsius)?

Thanks for the info! very informative!

Just bought a 97 Boxster. I will be storing in an un insulated garage (toronto).
What do you guys do to prepare for winter. My only thoughts are clean oil, remove battery, stabler in the gas.
When disconnecting the battery for 5 months, are there any issues with the computer when hooked back up in the spring?
thx

Thanks for the info, I know 18" are not optimal or endorsed by porsche. I am of the risks using 18" on a 97. I am more concerned if the wheels and tires will fit, or if spacers are needed...
