Hi,
Just bought a second hand boxter s and took it in to my local specialist to have look at it and give it a once over. Apparently all 6 ignition coils are cracked and need replaced and one of the brake pipes is corroded (although it did just get an mot from the garage i bought it from) and also needs replaced.
For someone reasonably handy with a spanner (not me I must add) how easy is it to replace the coils on the boxter S. Easy enough DIY fix, or needs to go into the garage? I've been quoted around £400 quid to get them replaced :-(
Likewise, can the brakepipe be replaced at any old garage, or is it a dealer/specialist that would need to do this?
thanks
