  1. Loren, THanks for the quick reply - the MAF was replaced last week - Makes no sense, they advised me they checked everything and the only problem via codes - tha MAF was replaced at $900.00 - Gotta Love Dealerships - My ONYL CONCERN - IS IT SAFE TO DRIVE 600 MILES WITH THE ERROR?

Lastly, the only problem other than the CEL re: P1075/072 - is Upon the am starting, the idle is very rough, not steady at all...Thanks again - really appericate it...

  2. Same concern here. I Just love this car full leather full CF, Violet Metallic, Champion tuned suspension+ wheels, full GT3 Aero kit, and well would like to consider all options before I drop $20k into a replacement and a SC. Bimmers are nice, had an 02 M5 loved it, just a little to big for my sporty taste.

:offtopic: I stoppped by the BMW dealer today to return the big bow borrowed to surprise the wife. I took a seat in the new Z4 Coupe - much smaller than an M5! The local paper's auto writer called it the "Cayman killer" at $20K less and 255 HP. I can't believe I can buy a brand new 2007 Z4 for the same price I paid for my 99 C2 three years ago. Humm....

Someone dropped him on his head as a child

  3. Gentlemen, I want to talk about Engines, Not simply your standard 6 or high modified 4 bangers, but the Engines that are considered to be the best in their class, Hand made, careful attention to detail by the manufacture. The reasoning behind this thought, is, I just came back from a long distance drive using my wife’s CLK55 ///AMG, the 5.4 V8 AMG hand built engine is truly one of the best I have ever driven, the torque is amazing, it seems like it will never stop even at 120 she still pulls very hard, harder than my 996. With 368hp and 373 torque, it is one hell of a engine, Car and driver and Automobile magazine votes the 5.4 AMG engine on of the best ever made as well at the 3.6 Porsche 996 Engine, both of which I truly love. I had my wife race me off the line (mind you we both had on our winter tires) and she almost took me out, I had to work so dam hard to catch up and finally I took her, but not by much. I am very lucky to have two very fine cars at my deposal. My question is simply this, do any of you have another car that has a wonderful engine, if not, and what engine would you select to be one of the best in your experience?

P.S Another beauty is the M5 engine my brother has, I believe it is a 2002 M5, I also love that car as a whole also, if I was to ever get into a four door sedan, it would be the M5. :drive:

  4. Hello Fellow P-Car Lovers, :drive:

This is my first post here on RennTech. I generally post on Rennlist and was advised to check out this forum. I currently own a couple of Porsche cars. My daily driver is my Black Beauty - 2003 Targa, with Custom Wheels I picked up in Europe (see below) and My Track Car 986S and last but not least, my Boster Winter Car, Yes Winter Car. With a set of Dunlops M2 Winter Sport Rubber, I can drive throught anything, provided that it is not higher than 6". Anyway I just wanted to say Hi and Look forward to reading and learning from you guys.
