I just purchased a 2000 Boxster. In paying attention to the tires, brakes, engine, ac, roof, etc. I neglected to look closely at the steering wheel. When I had time at home I discovered the steering is from an automatic and has the triptronic buttons on it. I can live with this for now except for the fact that the horn doesn't work and I can't get the car inspected. There is a black plug with two prongs that isn't plugged into anything but I felt this was likely for the triptronic shifting and it comes from the left area of the steering wheel and I see nowhere to plug it in. The yellow airbag plug is connected to the center of the unit. Now to my question - does anyone have a color picture of how the wires should be connected - I want to make sure they are correct - maybe I just have a crossed wire. Or maybe someone has a wiring diagram - I have ordered the shop manual but it will be awhile and the inspection expires end of June. I have attached a couple of pictures of what I see. It almost looks like there is a piece missing at the bottom of the wheel - some rubber that looks torn. Any ideas very much appreciated. Thanks very much, --Joe
