Spring Rates for X74

Recommended Posts

Loren or any others who may have the info. I have found the spring rates for US standard susp, ROW standars susp, US M030 and ROW M030 and even for the GT3. Does anyone have or know the spring rates for the X74 suspension?

Looking at a potential upgrade and wanted to see if the X74 is even worth it compared to the US M030 that came with my car. Looking to get near GT3 level of suspension on a MY 99 C2 996.

can't give you spring rates, but I can say this.

I have an X74 C2 (2002); driven back to back with a GT3, there is no difference in ride comfort (i.e. they are both hard !)

If anything, I would say the X74 is slightly harder in the rear.

I couldn't tell any difference in cornering flatness either, but it is purely subjective when sat in the driving seat.

I was curious about this, too, after the mechanic who installed mine told me that he thought the GT3 on the street was MUCH harder than the X74. I feel that the X74 is fairly jarring on other-than-smooth roads. I'd be surprised if they could sell a car to be driven on the street that is much stiffer.
