Solution for 987 conversion of halogen to HID

Recommended Posts

Dear all,

I recently successfully converted my halogen on my 987 2005 boxster to HID 4300

I purchased a xetronix 4300 kit with digial ballast for from xtralights.com and the computer disabler module of C1

all is plug and play except you need to strip the wires on the computer disabler to plug into the female plug of the halogen light

Everything fits inside the light housing NO holes need to be cut.

Everything is supplied from the mounting bracket to the adapter.

I am sorry but i don't have much time to include pictures...

but PM me if you want to know more

oh BTW my car has NO DRL so... i htink you need to disable that for there to be enough current to run the ballast and ignitor

although xetronix is all made in japan and i prefer a german kit... but since i don't have thousands for litronix... this has to do!!!

i'll try to post pictures in the future

tmoney, please do take some pics, at least with the lights on. I have HIDs on my car, and have the malfunction light message. I am looking to change my HIDs as I want to change the color of my current lights to a 5000-6000k. I would love to see how your lights look and compare to regular Xenons as 4300k is also an option I'm considering.

Thanks and good luck.

Alan
