02 C4S A-Pillar Trim Removal

Recommended Posts

I'm going to do a couple DIY mods at the same time - trim my remote unlock wire to 130mm, and install a hardwired garage door opener. The only instructions I can find to remove the a-pillar trim are for a cab, where you remove the screws around the base of the sun visor. C4S trim runs in one piece from the dashboard all along the top of the door to the seat belt trim on the B-pillar (and doesn't come anywhere near the sun visor base, as far as I can tell). Not sure if this is the same for all 996 coupes, or only certain ones.

Can anyone tell me how to remove this?

:renntech: (I know I'm sucking up!)

my 99 c2's a pillar trim is just clipped in. IIRC, you have to pop out 3 or 4 clips then flex the rearmost part from under the b-pillar trip. Then the whole thing should come out. I'm going by memory though and it has been a few months since I've messed with it.
