PCM2 Mobile SIM

Recommended Posts

Could any of you Chaps or Ladies please tell me how to install a SIM card? I am a new owner of a 2003 Boxster S with built in PCM / Sat mav / Mobile unit. The previous owner had an O2 Sim card that was working ok but when I insert my Vodafone or O2 Sim card (The correct way round) the unit just says "Installing Your phone will be switch on" but never completes. I have reset the unit (Key 148) but this makes no differance.

Also i have deleted all previous SIM card address books (Info menu). Do i have to visit OPC for then to investigate or is there another menu?

Thanks

ROY

Assuming you have a 987 with the PCM 2.1 I beleive there is a menu for PIN entry you get to by pressing the SET button on the PCM. it may be you need to enter the sim card pin before your sim will work as you have changed the sim card from another device to your PCM.
