I own a 2009 cayenne S fitted with a Sport exhaust system(Porsche factory fitted). What I have noticed recently whilst driving that even without switching on the sport mode(center console) the exhaust sound changes to a sportier sound mode(sports exhaust system activated)intermittently. Everything else remains unchanged. The logo SPORT does not appear on the multi-purpose display. The car set up and control systems remain unchanged.

Is this normal for a exhaust sound to change without sport mode activated ?
