Hi there. Help needed!

Have had 99 996 RHD with me for couple of years as my daily drive. No major issue so far (touch wood). but lately experienced a 'problem' several times: change into 2nd gear, depress the pedal, no instant response ( better to say, car still pulls, but very much lack of power), then a second or two later, the response comes back, car accelerates as normal. Happened in the past month 5~6 times, never twice on the same day, felt once in 1st gear. more under cold engine condition but not all. Car was due a 120,000km service 2 months ago (delayed simply been lazy and too busy -- booked in for next week already).

My question is: is this something of a concern? a sign of something major? would the service more likely solve the 'problem'?

Thanks.

Is it just 2nd gear? Does it feel like the clutch is slipping? Do you have any grinding like a bad synchro? Or is it just lack of power? If it's just power I would have your mechanic check to see if it has thrown any codes. Only the codes will tell you where to start troubleshooting.

Good luck

Happened several times in 2nd gear, once or twice in 1st gear, no problem in other gears.

Doesnt feel like clutch slipping, nor there's any grinding. Was just lack of power for a second or two ( felt like there's a 1 or 2 second 'delay' when depress the pedal, then all become normal again).

I'll see if they can find anything when the car's been serviced next week.
