connecting iPhone and ringer volume question

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Anyone connecting an iPhone 13 pro or similar to a newer Cayenne?   When you turn off car & exit , is your iPhone ringer volume always maxed out? Consistently with ours, we get out of the car and the phones ringer has always been turned to max loudness.

anyone else’s?

I can actually see the ringer volume slider change from current lower setting to 100% when iPhone is placed in and connects in the charging tray OR plugged into car via any one of the 3 usb-c ports. It'll change to 100% almost instantly.

This does not happen when phone is blue toothed.

  • WTL changed the title to connecting iPhone and ringer volume question

Heard back from Porsche of New Orleans.... Was told that it's normal for Porsche's to turn the volume to 100% so that you can hear the phone. Whew!

I wonder why no other car we have OR have ever had has done this?!? Its so relaxing to come into the house , get a call and have the ringer blast you at full volume.

Gotta love German engineering and why they think they have to control iPhones too.
