Hello, new to Porsche and PIWIS but plenty of experience with other vehicles. Thanks in advance for the help here.

2000 Boxter S. Car runs fine as far as I know, not troubleshooting anything, it's just new to me and I'm going through all the baseline health checks.

I have 2 questions-

1) Measuring the cam deviation doesn’t result in a number that changes if I rev in neutral. Just a static #. 1:-4.7⁰ 2: 1.2⁰.

Now, from what I figure, the # shouldn't change while revving unless you're seeing it go further out of original spec in front of your eyes. Correct? Or should it move?

I have an "offline" PIWIS 3 running on a virtual machine, with a Chinese link. Everything else works great- menus are a little slow, but functional otherwise.

2)I tried to actuate the variocam under active drive links. If I execute, the idle drops very momentarily and I get an error in the PIWIS field- Negative control unit response, "conditionnotcorrect or requestsequenceerror". Value 29000.

Am I setting it up improperly?

Thank you
