Front license plate issue

Recommended Posts

I know that most people will tell me not to use the front plate; however, that is not an option. My front plate holder keeps coming off. I have replaced the shims and screw twice and it does not seem to hold. Does anyone have any sugestions for keeping the front plate holder on? :cursing:

I know this doesn't answer your question, in IL front lic plates are required but it seems that BMWs and Vettes get away without using them. Try bumperplugs for month and see how it works out for you, first offense is usually a warning.

After buying a 2002 C2 Targa 3 months ago, I had the same thing within days of having the license plate put on by the dealer. I'm waiting for a replacement plate (at the dealer), and would love to know if anybody else has had this problem.

Apply Plastic Dip ($9 or less), wait for least 6 hour to dry out then put front plate again.

Good luck.
