Leaky Cabriolet

I have a 1995 993 convertible- i believe it is leaking from the floor of the car to inside the car (the floor mats are all wet)- (i dont think its coming from above. has anyone encountered this? how can this be remedied?

Clean the water drains. Accumulation of leaves and dirt blocking the drains is a possible cause.

thanks for the reply- where r the water drains located? is it unlikely that it has a hole in the bottom of the car leaking up?

I currently have a '96 c4 Cab and I went through the same situation where my rear driver's side carpet was wet. I thought that the water was coming in from underneath the car until I traced the water up through the carpeting underneath the pedals. The source of the leak was the windshield- under the weather stripping. There was a small gap all around certain corners of the windshield under the weather stripping.

Look at the inside of the car, where the glass meets the dash. If it is wet on the inside, then this is the source of your problem. You may need to use a piece of paper to stick into the inside corner to see if it is wet. Solution to this leaking problem is to use black or clear silicone to seal around the windshield underneath the weather stripping.
