    Hello, I am in the process of replacing my top also. I have a replacement top and liner already. I am looking for a DIY on this. Or any helpful hints. What to do or what not to do. I searched the archive and recieved no hits. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks, John hey john- any luck finding a DIY on the top?     thanks for that price comparison. Unfort i live in California so cant send it to you. could you tell me- is it a job i can do myself (i know its your livelihood but i dont have that much money and i'd like to try and "bond" with my car and doing this may help) aron

    has anyone replaced the convertible top for their 1995 (or similar yr) 993? is it easy? special tools? where did you get your top? a local shop is willing to do it - parts and labor for $2500 is that cheap for this kind of job? any help, suggestions, advice appriciated. aron

    I know an audiophile that swore by these speakers but when doing the research i realized that with the existing hi-fi speaker option on my doors that i would have to cut into the doors to get the jehnerts to fit- i ended up going to http://caraudioinnovations.com/ in sacramento CA and getting them to install some custom enclosed subwoofers in the rear footwells and Focal polykevlar speakers up front with 1000W amp under the passenger seat. a bit pricey but when i bump the music i get a back massage at the same time... hope that helps a bit. let me know what you end up doing. aron

    thanks for the reply- where r the water drains located? is it unlikely that it has a hole in the bottom of the car leaking up? thanks for your help

    I have a 1995 993 convertible- i believe it is leaking from the floor of the car to inside the car (the floor mats are all wet)- (i dont think its coming from above. has anyone encountered this? how can this be remedied? pls help.

    anyone have experience with these doorboard speakers? http://www.jehnert.de/de/ has anyone ever installed them in a porsche that already has a "hi-fi" sound upgrade? Any speaker suggestions for my 1995 Porsche 993 cabriolet? thanks
