  1. Recently I did pinning of coolant lines. Shortly after, the CEL came on and Durametric is showing the attached fault: secondary air injection system insufficient flow bank 1 value below lower limit. It's also intermittent. I have cleared it twice and it won't return for a few drives then gets tripped again all of the sudden. Anybody have any insight? I have checked everything I disconnected for the pinning, but all looks ok.
  2. Thanks Loren, aren't all the the windshields used on carrera's tinted at the upper portion?
  3. Would these be the only items needed for windshield replacement? And are these the correct P/N's for a 2006 997 coupe? Glass: 99754191109 Gasket: 99754190110 Thanks.
  4. I lost this part removing my Bose subwoofer. It attaches / clips to the bracket that the subwoofer slides onto and the retaining screw screws into it. I was wondering if can get this part at an automotive store or if I order the bracket from Porsche will this part be included? Not sure what this type of fastener would be called? Thanks
  5. I am wondering what type and size air filters are used in the X51 intake. I was thinking of possibly swapping them out for K&N or BMC filters if they make the correct type of filter. Thanks!
  6. Model and year of your car please? Thanks Loren, It's MY 06 997 Carrera S with aerokit.
  7. I have been searching for the part number for the plastic intake pieces that snap into the 997 GT3 or aerokit bumper cover at the side radiator air ducts. Specifically the black plastic pieces that mate with the rubber seal at the side radiators. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -Matt
  8. Thanks Loren. One more question, is there a part number for the fasteners that hold the wires and headlamp washer hoses to the bumper so they are not just loose hanging? I believe that they are fasteners that have double sided tape to stick them to the inside of the bumper cover. Thanks again!
  9. Anybody know where I can get the Torx style screws that fasten to the underside of the bumper cover and inside the wheel well. I believe they are sizes 25 and 30 internal torx with a flat washer affixed at the head. I can't seem to find where to pick these up. TIA
  10. Thanks Loren! MJFDSS: Make sure you go to Jeff at Sunset (a sponsor here). I just ordered one (cut from VIN). Cheaper than MSRP and great service. My dealer charged me $80 for programming. Thanks for the suggestion. Will do.
  11. Hmmm...interesting to know. Are you talking about the creaking noise when going up inclines?
  12. Does anybody know what the cost of a new key FOB (with uncut metal ) would be for the 997 (2 button) TIA
  13. In addition to road noise caused by the surface or tires I experienced a resonance at highway speeds in 6th gear that I found more irritating than the normal road noise. I found changing the headers made this noise go away. First the e-bay headers than the AWE headers. Both did the job. Good to know. I have been aware of the resonance from the exhaust. That along with the cabin noise / road noise as well as the bass from the Bose add up to plethora of noise :D
  14. Looking for the part number for the center speaker cover on the dash for MY 06 997 w/ bose in black leather. TIA
  15. I haven't checked the sticker to see if it says those numbers are for full load or not, but I have searched the forums and it seems as if there is a lot of variance in the pressures people run.
  16. Unless my gauge is incorrect. I am running 37 front 42 rear. I am going to double check with another gauge though just to be sure. I adjusted my tires (cold) with my digital tire gauge last weekend to the recommended 37 and 44 psi. I found the TPMS was reading about 2-4 psi lower than my measured pressures. That is not the recommended tire pressure. At least it wasn't when I had my 07 C2S. I believe the recomm tire pressure is 33/39 cold. My MY 06 door sticker say front 37 rear 42. However, I do now have 315's at the rear and wonder if the pressure should be the same as the 295's.
  17. Tires were just recently balanced and are new. I would hope they would not be out of round, but I would think that I would feel a vibration if they were.
  18. I thought about doing this, but Dynamat is pretty darn heavy.
  19. Unless my gauge is incorrect. I am running 37 front 42 rear. I am going to double check with another gauge though just to be sure.
  20. I have N spec PS2's with about 500 miles on them. Just as loud as my worn Pirelli's. Go figure.
