  1. Red 996 Calipers

I replaced the black calipers with Red ones from the US Boxtser S. These are the same as the 996 C2 stock calipers only they are red. Sold the black ones on eBay for almost what I paid for the Red ones. · 11/01/2003

  2. Aluminum trim rings for Instrument cluster

These rings are from Tweeks. I repainted them to get a sliver finish that was closer to the stock aluminum interor trim · 11/01/2003

  3. Euro clear fron side marker lamps

Snap -in smoked/clear euro side maker lamps. This is a basic mod that everyone should do. · 11/01/2003

  4. Activated right side rear fog lamp

This mod was running a wire from the left rear fog lamp to the right rear fog lamp, and installing a bulb in the socket. I only use the rear fogs lamps in extreme fog conditions, and want every advantge of being seen. · 11/01/2003

  5. Auto-dim rear view mirror

I installed an extra auto-dim mirror that I had from my wife's Audi in the Cab. It is the same mirror as Porsche uses. the only thing extra I had to get was the wiring harness from Porsche for about $10. · 11/01/2003

  6. Michelin N0 Pilot Sport tires

The Michelin N0 Pilot Sports are a superior tire to the Conti Sport Contact 2s that the car came with. Quicker turn in, much less noise, and great adhesion. · 01/28/2004

  7. Added tie-down points behind the rear seat

I was getting tired of the cooler sliding around in the back seat, so I got some "D" rings from REI, and mounted them to the rear seat panel with wire-tie straps. I then made some straps to hold the cooler in place. · 11/01/2003

  8. Bra

I let the fine folks at Speed Lingerie use my car to make a pattern of the front of the car for their Bra products. In return they gave me a custom bra for the front and for the mirrors. I think that a bra is better than stoneguard, as far as protectio · 11/01/2003

  9. GT3 valve stem covers

The stainless steel valve stem covers on my car were stolen from another car. They are very light weight and help decrease the unsprung mass on each wheel. · 11/01/2003

The nicest 996 I've ever seen. You've done an incredible job maintaining and improving upon a great car. We can all learn a lot from you. I just bought a 997 and would swear your car looks better. I think I'll go wash my car. Bill

Fantastic car! Truly an unbelievable looking 996. I also have the graphite top, and it could use some maintenance. What do you use to maintain your top? Thanks in advance.

Gary, I'm very impressed to see how you take care about your car.

You are best example to rest of 996 owners, and a good reference about detaling.

I'm trying to follow your job.

Nice to meet you

Beautiful car! Would love to see it when I get back to the Bay Area, hopefully in not too many more years! Wish I could do the ipod integration as you did, but my 03 Targa with BOSE makes it very difficult.
