  1. Btw, thank you White987S for the Rennlist posting suggestion; lots of help regarding my problem from that Forum too!
  2. Thank you! I will inform my mechanic about the Mobil Oil..
  3. Hello, I would appreciate some input on the following issue as I understand it is common with the 993 series: The engine light is on; the dealer diagnosed the problem, and find out CO build up: "Problem is in air flow to air injection ports in exhaust ports. Suggest to treat passages chemically in attempt to clear airflow. If not possible, cylinder heads will have to be removed and sent to a machine shop to clear. At this point, it is recommended that the valve guides be replaced and valves checked." Also, I was told this issue will happen again after about 20K miles or so... Well, this is about a $1,800 fix option that may work as per the dealer...The car will not pass smog at this point. Anyone experienced this issue with their Porsches? Any recommended solution? Thanks,
  4. White987S: Yes, good to know & I hope the values keep going up; this will be a bonus! Thanks, And Thank you JFP!
  5. Hello to all Forum Members, I am new to this Forum (joined 2 days ago) and wanted to say hello & introduce myself! I just acquired a 1996 993 TT with 41,444 miles; Red/tan, very clean but needs minor work to bring it to an excellent condition! :) The car is being serviced currently, so I do not have any photos to post; but will do it in the near future. I owned a 1990 C2 and a 2001 TT in the past, but I have a feeling this one is a keeper! This is a great Forum full of knowledgeable members, and interesting & helpful topics! :clapping: Thank you, Gaby
