  1. Well guys the dealer replaced the driver's side door lock mechanism, and it turns out the passenger side door lock was reporting locked all the time too so they replaced the passenger side door lock mechanism as well. So far, the car is remaining silent with no double beeps! Even they couldn't tell me why it would double beep on its own with no key in it!
  2. Thanks White987S and amegarth, got appointment with dealer on 19th to get drivers door latch replaced. If it is indeed a worn out ignition switch, I can do that one myself since I changed the one on my wife's 996. I'll let you all know how it turns out. In the meantime I checked all my drains by pouring water down them they work fine and the two back foam drain pans have no cracks or rips and drain ok.
  3. Thank you JFP for the welcome! I will look further into that monitoring sensor and I'll post back when I hopefully get this resolved.
  4. Hello all, I'm new but I've been enjoying reading your posts for a while now. I've got a mighty strange one. With the car sitting parked in the driveway with the key removed, I'm sitting in my house with the key (out of range) and occasionally hear a double beep, the same double beep you hear when there is a locking-related fault. Pulled alarm system codes: 47 - control locking synchronization 33 - passenger compartment monitoring sensor 61 - central locking limit position unlock not reached Dealer confirmed driver door latch sending signal that it is locked at all times even when unlocked. What I really can't get is why would it double beep with no key or any input from me? Its doing it totally on its own, and I finally had to disconnect the negative battery cable from battery to stop the double beep and stay on good terms with my neighbors. Thanks! 01 Boxster S 114k totally stock, no aftermarket electronics
