  1. I think the only comprise is that he likes "Supple" leather but the car does not have this opt.... To me, it is no big deal.
  2. Oh boy! I did get them confused...... :( Does anyone have a rough idea how much those parts cost from Dealer if you ever purchased from Dealer or from Suncoast Import? Man, I got to pray that I did not pay too much.....
  3. Well, I DID check the price on Suncoast. I don't think their price is better than I got: 6-Speed Shift Knob --- Price: $329.00 E-Brake Handle w/Porsche Script ---- Price: $350.00 Painted Crest Center Caps --- Price: $159.95 Could not find the Silver Hood Crest in there, called Carlsen Porsche and got the quote for $102.35 Even not buying the Silver Hood crest, all 3 items above add up to $839 But I got 4 items including taxes and shipping all together for $870.......
  4. Hi, Just ordered some parts from Dayton in LA. Their store carries all Porsche Tequipment parts. This guy (Dayton) is very helpful and gives me a good price (I think) :) at least I did not know where I can get a better price...... All the following items including Taxes and Shipping to my Fremont, CA 94536 address ---- $870 1. Aluminum Shift knob (Alum./black) 2. Aluminum E-Brake Handle 3. Color Wheel Caps (4) 4. Silver Hood Badge All genuine Porsche Tequipment parts from Stuttgart I did not get the individual price, but I know the silver hood crest is $79. Looks like item #1 and #2 are less than $300 each...... (including tax and shipping) I expect to get those on Monday or Tuesday. :D Will let you guys know if this is a good store to buy something. Oh, please also let me know from your experience if these are good deals.....
  5. Sigh, :( I am one of the dot com engineer...... poor me. Started working from 2001, catched all the downtrend
  6. That is exactly what I thought. My friend is fighting with the seller for $65K..... no result yet.
  7. Yep, I totally agree that Kirby's C2 is a very nice one I have ever seen. I like his car. I will tell my friend, but most likely he probably won't be able to go up to $72K. Actually, he is struggling $67K(the seller's price) How do you guys think about that from MSRP $88K --> $67K after one year and 5K miles? Do our cars depreciate so much? :( I think, sometimes, you may be freaked out when something is way too cheap.....
  8. Tool Pants, Thank you very much for giving this detailed explanation. Is there any way to get this info on a car besides you bring a PST2 to hook up on the car? Do you think the P-Service dept. will give me this info if I gave them the VIN? Thanks again.
  9. Wow, I have nerver seen this kind of information...... :o "Over Rev" -- Did you mean over the redline? why a "-1" number for Range 1? Can you explain more details about the Range 1 and Range 2, or more on the PST2? Is there any place I can learn more about this? :D So, this kind of info can only be obtained by sending the car to P dearlership for inspection? Or I can request it from Dealership by giving them the VIN?
  10. Tool Pants, I don't quite understand the attached Pix. Could you explain the reason you attached it? Thanks :D Oh, by the way, the reason the seller wants to sell the C2 is he is getting a GT3....
  11. Right now they are negotiating between 65K ~ 67K. 2003 C2 (black/black) I think the MSRP is about $88K. very nice options: Black full leather Power/memory seat Xenon Metal Door Sill Alum. Dials, 18" Lt. Alloy wheels Rear wiper PSM Bose sound Supple Leather and $5000+ Exclusive Options: Black Mats Carrera Rear Spoiler Painted Center console Porsche Crest in Headrests Alum. Shift, E-Brake I think he may evantually agree the seller's asking price..... but the most important thing is to buy a good(reliable) P-car, not the 1 or 2 grands difference, right? :(
  12. Oops, it looks like not too many people would like to give me their advise....... :( Please feel free to say something or share your experience in buying a used P-car as that will help me to help my friend. He is so desperate ....(I know it is always better to buy a new one, but the reality...... sigh)
  13. Dear all, My friend wants to buy a 03 C2(black) from a private party. The car is about one year old since the original purchase date. Only 5k miles. He asked me for my opinion and advise. :help: I own a P-car but it does not make me a good mechanic nor inspector. I know that it should be better to bring the car to a dealership for inspection. If this is not an option, what should we do and can we do at least to make sure there is no big problem on this car? (besides test-drive) Please help ! :help: :help: :help:
  14. All, Can I get your opinions on Aluminium foot pedals? 996, 6-speed. Where to get the best price? Thanks.
  15. My car is "Artic Silver" with Black interior. (Could not find a Seal Gray or Slate Gray :( ) )
  16. Loren, Kirby, and Tool Pants Thank you very much for all your advise to a newbie like me. You are all very nice guys, hope I can get a chance too meet you all.
  17. Oh, I have a lot I want to DIY..... Shift Knob, E-Brake, Spoiler Switch on Console, short shifter ? (I don't know what's good for it.... stupid me :P ) ....... ....... tell me what I can do....
  18. Hi, I would like to replace my stock shift knob and E-Brake with the "Aluminum Shift Knob and E-Brake" :help: . Could someone give me some idea that what kind of tool I may need and some instructions will be very appreciated. If it is too difficult to do the E-Brake part, at least I hope I can install the shift knob by myself because they(Porsche Service) charge $220 for Shift Knob and $255 for E-Brake.... Thank you very much :)
