  1. its in tognola engineering in datchet. They seem good guys. They have replaced MAF, plugs , leads coiils. They are gonna replace a broken varioCam unit on the right bank although the misfire is in the left bank in an attempt to have everything that can be fixed, fixed. Loren - not sure on the fault codes ill ask. ICV ill mention it to them on my daily visit ;)
  2. Hello all so cars a 996 C2 coupe 1999, manual RHD UK model and its being bad :( The engine warning light came on the other day and at idle the engine was a little rough and smelt of unburnt fuel. So ive taken it to local specialist (3 times now) and its reporting a misfire on cylinder 3. They have so far eliminated a mechanical fault with the engine (they did leakdown test), the coils and sparkplugs etc, the air induction system. So they are having alot of trouble working it out :( The car has some ebay sports exhaust fitted from a guy in germany i havent heard any problems but could it be that? The next thing will be refitting the original exhaust then they are proposing to switch ECU's with a donor car... sounds like they are running out of options ... any thoughts ... forgot to say the problem only appears at idle ... TIA Phil
