Ive read the posts re fitting a 996 Hardtop to a 997 but, one thing Im still not entirely clear on and perhaps someome could anser; Can I fit a 996 bayonet type hard top to a 997 by purely fitting the appropriate recepticles to the car body, ie without having to change hard top fittings to the screw type? Thanks
Yes when I switch PSE to quiet mode, the rattle goes away. Is the valve replaceable or is a new tail box required? Thanks
Ive now developed a rattling noise from inside exhausxt tail box,(right side). Its a sports exhaust, does this require a new tail box, or is there a fix for it? Thanks
Thanks Loren, whats a PIWIS tester and is reprogramming the control box a dealer activity?
HI, As per subject heading I'm getting a Headlight adjust Fault message up in my tach., The lights dont move up or down on start up and are pointing at tree line whilst driving. Dont know if its related but only happended since Ive had the front bumper replaced with a Turbo one. The car is a 2006 C4S. Thanks for any help.
mun802 replied to mun802's topic in 997-1 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 2S, Carrera 4S)Thanks for that Loren. Any ideas as to where I can get a harness from, is it a main dealer supply?
mun802 posted a topic in 997-1 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 2S, Carrera 4S)Guys, Ive just fitted the Techart type 3 rear spoiler to my 2006 C4S (without instructions) and there does seem anywhere to fit the fan. Is this an engine cooling fan, as Im thinking of leaving it off. Also I get a rear brake light fail message on each start. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
Guys, Im just about to get my hands on a rear spoiler for my C4S which involves swopping the boot lids over. Does anyone know how I deactivate the rear spoiler to stop it from rising. Many thanks.
mun802 posted a topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)Has anyone fitted the 997 style LED rear lights onto a 996? I know there's been some issues with the speed of the flashers post fitment on the 2002> models, but again this may have been overcome now...hopefully?
mun802 replied to londoner06's topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)Parade Gloss Boot polish. Little bit of elbow grease require,d but looks good protects and lasts reasoanbly well and after a few applications doesnt take a great deal to top up.
mun802 posted a topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)Just had Major service today and was advised that front left cooling fan is not working. Told it could be either resistor or the fan itself. Is there a way to prove either or do I just bite the bullet and go for the fan and is this easy enough to change? Car is a 2002 C4 Cab. Thanks for any support guys.
mun802 posted a topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)Love the new rear LED lights on the 997. Does anyone know if there are any available for the 996? Thanks
mun802 replied to mun802's topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)Thanks Loren. I notice the TSB says 750 Time Units fo rthe full install. Is a time unit one minute, as it seems to take a massive amount of time if it is?
