  1. Thanks for the advice, the value of these cars here in Sweden is low. It could be that it has reached it low point and will hopefully recover if the proper engine work has been done. I have done a lot of engine work before but not on this type of engine so I will try to at least find the problem myself. Started draining the fluids today and I think I know exactly what you mean by "chocolate shake"
  2. Not knowing where to look for information I started a thread in another forum where I got the advice to ask for help at this place. So I have traded another car for a dead Porsche 911 Carrera 4 2001. After reading about all the failures I tried to find a new engine but they were very expensive. I figure I should at least find my problem before spending that amount of money. I guess my first move is to remove the heat exchanger and check if it is broken. Any advice on this? Would a leak down test show if one of the cylinders are cracked? Would a cracked cylinder cause oil to get into the water? Another fault I am wanting to investigate is if one of the heads are cracked. Is this visible if I remove the cylinder head with the engine in the car?
