Thanks Loren That was a great help, I'm now at the stage shown in the picture Do you have the torque for 1. Holds the left and right gear...currently @ 39lb ft 2. Holds the plastic oil tray underneath the gear...currently 10lb ft and by the way many thanks Managed to slice my thumb putting the gears back on.....

Hi All I had the common leak on the transfer case on my 996.2 tiptronic. I have stripped it all done and got the replacement gaskets and 'o' rings and now building up again. The only thing I don't have and is not in the Porsche Workshop manual is the torque settings for all the bolts I need to put back in. I have found on another forum that the case bolts are torqued to 19lb ft, hex bolts holding the gears in place are 38lb ft. Can anyone confirm this before I put it all back together? Picture shows the part of the gasket that has gone (think this is usual). Thanks
