  1. Heck maybe I will just by the fabspeed bypass and if it is not sufficient add the agency power exhaust.
  2. Wow. 111 views and not a single opinion. Pros or cons either way are invited. The cat bypass is obviously cheaper and easier to change but if it sounds like the videos at all times they are a no go. I know thought that the videos are not always a good representation, but I read some that say they do carry that raspy sound, but I do not see anyone saying whether that goes away after warmup as I have heard some setups in the past. That takes me to spending twice as much on an agency power exhaust which is fine if it has a more consistent low tone. I had the factory sport exhaust on a Boxster about 7-8 years ago and liked how it sounded for comparison, a little louder is fine.
  3. I am thinking of getting a set of the cat bypass pipes, like the fabspeed I see many people have. My question is if what I hear is a crackling noise and if so if that is only right after start up? I am looking for a throaty deep sound, not something that sounds like an Accord. Don't get me wrong, that is fine for some, but on the Cayenne I would like it to sound deep. Should I just go with something like an agency power super sport exhaust if ilI am looking for just the deeper tone? I know it leaves the factory cats, but if the sound is better that is fine. I know some will like the crackling raspy sound, that is fine, just curious if it stays that way. Thanks
  4. Thanks to all. I am getting ready to put another order in with suncoast and will include one of these.
  5. Does this cap: have the prong or dongle or whatever you want to call it, like the original to allow it to be placed in this hole while fueling? I am thinking of one for my Cayenne S 2012
  6. I only changed it early since I just bought it, that way I know it was for sure changed and it is Mobil 1.
  7. I wanted to add my adventures for replacing it in my 2012 Cayenne S. I bought what Amazon says is the correct part number made by Bosch, and it looked right in the pictures, but seems to be a version that fits other variations and years. It is too narrow by a good bit as you see in the pictures and wants to fall out before putting the bottom on. So I put it all together and ordered from my local OReilly's what they show as fitting (wix 24631) and it was the same, and so on for Napa too (at least their line which is made by Wix 224631 come to find out). So my third attempt is oem Mann and it fits perfect. Lesson learned.
  8. I check to, and the box has the correct gap printed on it so that confirmed my thought. Thanks
  9. Turns out one is supposed to be for diesel but it does not clarify which. Also they (Durametric) said that I cannot reset until the reminder is activated or within xx number of miles. So since it is saying my oil does not need changed for 4000 miles I cannot reset it. (Just so happened it was at 4000 left when I tried to reset it, it did not actually reset it) same for the intermediate service, even though it reminds me it is due in 800 miles or so, I need to wait until it is actually. So all that means my service reminders are off by several months and several thousand miles and do me no good. When I am able to reset it to 10000 miles and 12 months that will be in 4-5 months, and will not be correct when I reset it. The only way to get them back on track is to not reset it when it says it is due, then when actually due a half year later change it and reset at that time. Seems ridiculous.
  10. Surely some else has changed their plugs and checked the gap. I have never blindly thrown plugs in.
  11. I originally bought a set of Weathertech mats, front, rear and cargo, for my 2012 Cayenne S. I returned them promptly without know an alternative but I knew these were not going to work. The did not lay flat enough for me to even give them a chance to flatten, my door would not shut. The bigger issue was they were thin plastic and that is what they looked and felt like. Maybe for my older truck, but not this. Then I found 3D MAXpider on amazon and gave them a shot and man am I glad I did. They are very high quality, fit excellent and have a nice texture to the mat surface. Also little grippy hairs on the back to keep it in place. The WT plastic was not a secure fit in my mind. Anyways, I will try to post some pictures but check them out on amazon or reviews on YouTube, they are great.
  12. Thanks. I think I figured out all the tools I need as well, just need to find out what the gap should be set at. I am thinking they may be pre gaped but I always check and double check. If anyone knows please let me know. I will try to post a summary when I am done listing all tools and specs.
  13. Also the torque specs for the plugs (dry since it looks like all Porsche are without ant seize now), is it 22 ft lbs like the 955?
  14. I have a 2012 Cayenne S and I have looked high and low and cannot find a tutorial on changing the plugs on the 958 V8, only the 955. I have changed plugs on many vehicles before so it is not the basics but rather the unknown tools that may be required or tricks to getting a difficult plug out. Thanks in advance.
  15. I bought the newest version 6 from Durametric directly. I am running it on an HP Stream 7, it loads perfect and auto recognized my VIN. I get no error messages and it says it reset on the computer. I will take a picture of the screen that shows the two options. Thanks for any assistance.
  16. I have a 2012 Cayenne S and just completed my first oil change. I bought the Durametric cable and got it to work with a tablet from Amazon which I will share info on in another thread. My problem is there are two options to reset the oil reminder, both have the same title and seem to only reset it to 4k instead of 10k. Anyone else have this issue? The tool says it has reset the service reminder. I tried unplugging the fuse to the instrument cluster for 10 seconds as well. Still only shows 6 months and 4000.
