  1. What is correct torque for front and rear calipers on a 2012 Cayenne S with silver calipers which has 360mm up front and 330mm in the rear? I have looked and see specs for the earlier 955 Cayenne and the 2011, but I think something changed in 2012. I see various info, and it looks like maybe it is 200 ft lbs up front and 133 in the rear but that seems high so I was wondering if someone has the repair manual to confirm?

  2. So I replaced all my bulbs with Philips LED, this is on my 2012 Cayenne S. All of the w5w bulbs (194) went great and are the same white color as the original LEDs that came with the "comfort package". That being said I also replaced the rear hatch ceiling light which is a consumer replaceable standard 43mm festoon bulb. I also used the Philips vision line but for some reason that one light will emit a very dim glow after all other lights have dimmed to nothing. LED lights do not by nature emit a glow after shutting off and I have not ran into this before. Here is what it looks like and another shot at the end showing it on full blast so you can see it is far from on. It never gets any more dim, so I removed it in the meantime.

And here it is on regular brightness for reference.

  3. In my search for ceramic brake pads for my 2012 Cayenne S with regular rotors I can only find one brand that sells both front and rear, well two I guess which I will explain. The main one I am looking at is a ceramic set from R1 concepts I found on Amazon. Here is a picture, has anyone used this brand either on a Cayenne or even in general?

Also I found a set on brakeworld.com, a brand called Disc Italia and they have mixed reviews for the brand itself. They seem popular with Range Rover owners but not good experience with BMW if I recall. If anyone has bought this brand ceramic pads I would also be interested.

  4. I would like to switch to ceramic brake pads and am fine keeping my stock rotors, this is on my 2012 Cayenne S. I am having trouble finding a brand that sells both front and rear. I see a brand or two that will list a set for one or the other which I think I strange. So has anyone found a good brand for front and rear specifically on the 958 S? I know the names of all the top brands, but what I am interested in is what is available for the 958s specifically as I am coming up with very little with no real prospects.
