  1. I had the same problem. I ran the car for a couple of weeks with the radio turned off. It eventually started up again after a number of tries. It appears to be some type of capacitance problem. For me at least it was self-correcting. Good luck!
  2. I have a 1998 Boxster. Yesterday when trying to put the top up only the left side worked causing nasty torquing of the roof assembly. The arms and slider appear to be OK but the mechanized arm does not move or make any sounds. Curiously, the airbag light came on on shortly before. I doubt if they are connected but I thought I should mention it. Is there a transmission that distributes the power to both sides or are there two separate motors that control the top? Any ideas or suggestions?
