  1. from looking at it, there was no cracks or any noticeable damage....
  2. Okay updates: I changed the spark plug (OEM Porsche Units) I purchased a code reader (durametric) No codes and with new plugs it still does the same thing, I am narrowing it down to around 3000 rpm and 3500 rpm those two point the car will loose power that it feels like I took my foot off the gas completely.
  3. i have an 01 turbo with about 9000 miles on it now, when i am cruising on the highway with my RPM floating around 3000 rpm or 3400 rpm with maybe 10-20% throttle the car would misfire/hesitate.. However it does not have any signs of this hesitation when i am on the throttle and just revving the gear out. Any idea what this might be? TIA
  4. Loren, you were right the first time! I acutally brought a set of rear OEM suspension to replace, when I started the process taking everything apart I noted the Upper sway bar link was loose! I only checked the lower mounting point the first time... Now no more noise! Thanks for the info!
  5. Just check that, everything is tight....i just removed all the rear carpet and went out for a drive, i am pretty sure it's from the suspension thou, almost sounds like a loose spring - could that be possible? Thanks again. T
  6. I know it's not possible to know what to hear the voice via the forum but I was hoping that there might be some common issues generating the noise from the rear of my 01 turbo. When I go over certain bumps any speed it can hear this low soft thump or da da - da da like noise from the rear. from my car experience it almost sounds like the strut missing the little plastic ring, or a mis-installed spring, or some plastic part hitting the body panel Any ideas or solutions?
  7. hmmm take a pic of your engine i am curious to see what it looks like.
  8. I used the area circled in blue, is it okay? Thanks
  9. I believe this is a sign of the diverter valve going back, but just want to confirm: This happens mid RPM range about 60-70% throttle, doesn't happen at WOT or between shifts.... Any ideas? Thanks
  10. What tool did you use? Is it capable of viewing pending faults? i used a OBD II reader...and came up with no codes...i don't think it's capable of viewing pending faults, it's from pepboys...
  11. i know i would need to get several parts, vent/trim/etc but i want to make sure that it wil fit without any modifications. Thanks
  12. my car is under cpo warranty but just want to check to see if this is a known issue. Usually after drive a car a while and I want to do a "warm" start, the car would fire up but RPM will drop to 0 and stall, I tried it about 5 starts and just will not "catch". I can however give it some gas then everything is fine... it's an 01 w/ 8000 miles Also i feel sometimes when holding a rpm/speed the car seems to "hesitate" a bit like i backed off the throttle but i don't think i did.. any ideas? Thanks
  13. or do i need to drill holes for installation? nevermind used the search feature :D :D :D
