Help! Do I have PASM or not?

The rear spoiler seems to be working. When I disconnected the Rear control unit, the spoiler went up! When I connected it back and I drove a little, it went back down. Thats how I know the spoiler seems to be functional in the least. Thanks -
I just got a 2007 Carrera S Cabriolet. I have inspected the strut and can see the wire coming out of it into the car. I also have the SG Damp tronic control unit at the top right corner of the passenger side foot stairwell. When I removed the battery and put back, it gave me PASM and PSM error all of which cleared. Now the issue I have is this: I tried to press the sport button on the centre console but it wont work. No lights at all! I also noticed I cant manual raise or lower the spoiler. But the spoiler works cos it came up some time ago. I then checked behind the combination switch and I didnt find ANY wiring attached to it!! Nothing at all. Just the plastic with the buttons! Whats going on now is that the ride is hard. The shocks seem a little stiff. Though when I has the PASM error light on, it was much stiffer. Are there 997 without buttons in the centre console that still have PASM? I have tried to run a computer on the car and it gave an error code "0010 LED Button" as an error in the PASM menu. If this situation is possible, could it just be that the shocks/dampers are just tired and just need changing!! Is it possible to get new wiring harness and activate the sport buttons. Pics attached. Really need help here. Thanks D.
