PSE on an '03 C4S

Just received the PSE I ordered for my '03 C4S. I am having it installed by a non-dealer mechanic and was not planning on having the electronics hooked up. Is there anything special that has to be done to disable the electronic portion of the mufflers to ensure that they are open all the time or are they open by default unless the electronics thell them otherwise. In other words can I simply have thje mufflers installed as-is with no modifications/electronics and have the full sport sound?? Thanks in advance . . .

2003 C4S Wind noise

Thanks Loren . . .The dealer oredered a new window seal just in case and I will print your repsonse and ask him to ensure that all appropriate adjustments have been made. -
I have a persistent wind noise in the driver's window area on my '03 C4S. Dealer has "adjusted" the window several times but the noise is the same. It begins at about 30MPH and up. Window appears to be sealing. Any ideas??
