  1. I have the same kind of noise from my 99 996. Especially when I start the engine in the morning. I can hear a little in low speed. But no more problem when my engine is warm or while I am driving in higher speed.
  2. Since I bought my 99 C2 a few months ago, I always feel this clutch is too heavy and stiff. It has 59500 miles right now and I think the clutch is still original. I test drive a 01 C2 today and I found out the clutch is a little lighter. Could anyone tell me are there any lighter clutch I can replcae it for. Or does 01 Porsce made a ligther and easier clutch. I also have a 2000 Corvette and that clutch is much lighter and more user friendly. I just don't know my clutch is normal or it is about the time to replace a new one!
  3. My 99 996's airbag light just came on today. And I heard alot about this is a common problem with 911. Should I take it to Porsche dealer to fix it? And may be someone can recommend any place in Dallas, Texas I can trust? Thanks alot!
  4. I just got this quote from this company below Vehicle: 1999 Porsche 911 Mileage: 58,600 Plan: W4W Super Plus listed component coverage Term: 4 years from today and 60,000 additional miles on the odometer. Do you think is a good deal?
  5. Thanks alot! You guys give me so much nice advice.
  6. I just bought a 99 996 with 59,000 miles. There is a company call Royal will selll me a 3 years warranty for $3,800 with $100 deductible. Can someone tell me is this a good company or may be someone can recomend a better one for me. I live in Dallas, Texas. This is Royal's website www.royaladmin.com Thanks alot!
  7. Ignition switch. Thanks! I hope it is not a very expensive repair. Anybody can tell me how much will cost me to replace ignition switch(parts and labor)? Do I have to go to Porsche dealer to fix it?
  8. I live in Colleyville, used to live in Plano. I take mine to Boardwalk since my 997 is certified and under warranty, but they've really been bad lately since their doing crapy Audis too. Their in process of building just a Porsche dealership. Let me tell you, I sat in their waiting room for an hour while they checked in all these audis first. I won't go back 'til they get their sh** together. Park Place does a good job and are negotiable if you push 'em. If you're out of warranty, you're probably looking for someone other than the dealer. There's a shop off 183 in Bedford-- I beleive, right next to the Park Place Mercedes Dealership that does Porsche. From what I hear, good work at good prices. Some of the repair shops charge as much as the dealer, be wary. I'll see if I can find their name, my buddy uses them for his 993 and swears by them. Thanks alot! I think I know where is it.
  9. Ignition switch. Thanks! I hope it is not a very expensive repair.
  10. My 1999 996 C2 has a strange problem lately. Sometime when I turn on my A/C, the A/C fan is not blowing. I have to turn off my engine and restart my car for one or two time, then the A/C fan starts blowing again. Does anyone has the same problem? What caused that problme?
  11. I live in Dallas and can someone tell me a better repair shop I should go for my 1999 911 C2?
  12. I have a 1999 996 C2 and is it a better idea to use Denso Iridium Spark Plugs to replace the OEM plugs?
