  1. Cheers....by the way are outer cv joints as prone to failure as the inner..? I understand these are totally unavailable and cannot be separated for replacement on the driveshaft.
  2. Thanks....the cv joint + bits & full shaft assembly look like Porsche only parts. If i decide to go for just the joint is it essential i get the Porsche sealant to "glue" the cover/lid on to the joint...?Why is it so expensive for a tube of said sealant..?
  3. Been rumageing underneath this afternoon & it sounds like the infamous inner CV joint clunk (O/S).So now i guess its a case of a new joint/boot or the full axle assembly....and whether i can fit it without a nervous breakdown. If i fit a new shaft unit will i have to remove the exhaust or wheel hub for clearance.
  4. Sorry...yes the rear.It makes the sound when rolling.Sounds like someone tapping on the wheel with a block of wood...
  5. Could this be something to do with the CV Joint or wheel bearing...i originally thought something might be trapped between the disc and guard but sounds more mechanical.Any thoughts...?
  6. I have just fitted a brand new set of plugs & ignition coils in my 2.7....and unfortnately one of the coils plugs was not snapped in correctly.Started it up to try....ran on 5 cylinders & set off the engine light.Rectified the problem and the engine now runs sweetly...went for a drive but the light has stayed on.Is there a way i can reset it without dealers or buying a dagnostic tool...?
  7. I think its time my exhaust was replaced but apart from the eurocup gt S/S system & obviously the dealers here in the UK i can't seem to find anyone supplying a full system online. It doesn't have to be performance orientated just reasonably priced.Any thoughts....?
  8. Can it be switched off with the PIWIS Software & Laptop.....?
  9. Is there anyway i can reset this without a visit to the dealers...i had read somewhere this can be altered by using the PCM menus somehow....?
