  1. Thanks, dealer says faulty ecu, guess I was looking for a magic fix and/or some things to try thinking maybe dealer just took a high level view...
  2. I have this problem on my passenger side of my 06 2.7 987. Open door, drops down, doesn't go back up on close, lower top, drops but doesn't go back up. Auto up from passenger door does not work, auto up from drivers side for the passenger side does not work (to me implies it's not the passenger side switch). Otherwise the passenger window will go up and down smooth, just no auto up. I've tired all the methods of re learn with no luck. Anyone have any ideas/steps to take to figure it out?
  3. Thank you! exactly what it was on my 2006 987 boxster. fits boxster 05-08 and 911 05-13 ymmv part number is 999-631-033-90 http://www.sunsetporscheparts.com/porsche/911/99963103390 or pelican parts or google/your fav oem parts store DIY: 1. remove 2 screws holding light is place, lightly pull (third attachment is a push in). 2. both the main light and this little small guy twist to come out, careful as the bulb you'll be replacing pulls out of the housing so you don't want to mess up the housing itself, just twist a half turn or so one way or the other and lightly pull.
  4. more research and i found at least a starting point, both push rod end caps snapped off (guessing one first, then the stress on the other side snapped the second one). Got these guys on order, hopefully that will do the trick and I didn't jack up anything else... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-986-987-Boxster-1997-2012-Convertible-Top-Push-Rod-End-Caps-Repair-Kit/131793131982
  5. Heard a 'loud' click when lowering top yesterday, sure enough, would not raise. Clicking continues, the metal cover will loudly (with clicking) raise and lower without the soft top moving. I was able to manually get the top closed with the metal top open. Don't want to make matters worse/break more stuff, so not sure how to proceed, would like to try and figure out what broke and potentially fix myself. Suggestions/ideas?
