  1. My first data readings.  Comments appreciated.  Not knowing too much about all the readings I just did the basics.

    #of ignitions 1592/3561.7H (#2 was zero)
    3675 Total hours
    109477 miles
    Average was 29.78

    Instrument cluster total distance 14712?

Old codes before I reset them:
    491, 492 and 420

  2. Going to buy the Durometric Enthusiast version.  Since the engine in my 03S was replaced at some point (No records) want to see engine operating hours.  Anyone in the Denver Area feel free to stop by.  I will have two VIN's available after I use it on mine.

Only dealers can research service records and then only if the service was documented by the previous dealer.

For security (of the previous owners) they will not likely give you any copies of work done - but you might get them to confirm a date and whether it was done under warranty or not.

This is what I was hoping they would do at least but if not installed by a dealer I may never know :-(  I just want to head off an IMS/RMS issue before it develops.  This should be the last Major thing my baby needs.

  4. Just took her on a 250 mile trip through Colorado Canyon country to break them in.  Result:  AWESOME!  Plus this trip validated my summer long savings account drainage getting her back in top shape.  She did not disappoint!

Tire noise was minimal, handled the back road two lane highways with perfection.  The ride comfort was a definite improvement (I also have a new set of Bilstein B6 struts all around).

When winter sets in will post reports on various levels of snow depth handling.

  5. My 03 S has 108K miles.  Looking forward to 308K

Pic is day I bought it.  Since then, Boxster S emblem back on the rear, new headlight assembly's, tranny service (Triptronic), oil change, new oil/radiator/gas caps, new CV axles, passenger rear control arm, front sway bar, clockspring, plugs, rotors/pads, coolant system flush, Bilstein B6's all around, Set of Continental DWS06's, news AOS with top and bottom hose replacement. Buluga Racing muffler and test pipes eliminating reasonator's/sec cats.

I'll try and remember than when we get one of our usual 37 inch snow falls, when a M1A1 tank would get stuck..................

We can get some good snowfall here in the Denver area....LOL.  Logic will always prevail.

White987s - this is my daily driver and only vehicle...for now.

What is your plan? To have one set of tires do everything, and all seasons for you in CO? All season tires on a Porsche suck. They do everything just "OK". I'm not a fan of just "OK". Get a quality set of summer performance tires like Michelin Pilot Super Sports, AND a dedicated set of winter tires, on seperate wheels. Plug & play. Fun. Safe.

When I have more $$ to spend I do plan on doing just that.
