Thank you Loren! I will check the wiring first.
Just out of curiosity, I believe the valve lift solenoids can not be individually adjusted, but per bank (side). Is this correct?
Would it then make sense to change all solenoids, or just focus on #8? (My Spidey-senses are tingling and saying to change them all...)

Hi all,
Can't seem to get rid of fault code P1376. It can be reset, but comes back within a few days. (Car seems to run fine)
The local independent garage hooked up their PIWIS and verified the P1376 code - said it was something to do with cylinder #8?
Has anyone else experienced this - and if so, what was the fix? Any tips/advice is appreciated!

Hello Spoon,
It sounds like you have done a pretty good job in troubleshooting... My hat is off to you! 🤠
Since you know:
1. the fuse is good
2. mirror adjustment motor is good
3. folding motor works in both directions when it gets 12V
4. zero volts at the motor plug
5. buttons all work
The only thing you have not yet tried, is placing the passenger side adjustment motor in the drivers side position to see if it works. (don't bother)
My educated guess is that it won't work because you definitely have faulty driver's side door wiring... Nice weekend job!

I believe the single blue wire goes to the generator, and the plug with two wires goes to the sensor.

Penstamin,
This information is for my 2011 Cayenne S - should be similar.
Hope this helps?

Just an update , the little LED is not available on its own even though the part can be removed easily from the door trim . So if you want a flashing LED it only comes with the door panel at £1200 + Vat (20%) , i dont think i will bother.

False - it can be ordered separately. It looks like the part number is 7PP919238 (possibly with "A" or "B" at the end). Could you verify?
If so, they can be purchased for less then €10.The other option is to replace the LED yourself, but I'm not sure of the level of your fine-motor skills or patience.. 😉

I can't remember where I bought my workshop manual, but you can still get it for a small fortune here: 😲

Might need to ask my garage to look into it... Just never experienced a “comfort” ride after purchasing it second-hand, and since this is my first “modern” Porsche - I just wanted to know if this request would be worthwile, or if I’m dreaming. I would hate to throw money into something that is normal... Any other Cayenne owners out there that confirm there is really a difference?
On a side note: I have 21” wheels, and I understand that will also influence the ride comfort due to the lower profile tire.

After reading this thread, I thought to myself - ?hmmmmm my 2011 Cayenne S also doesn't seem to ride any differently regardless of the suspension settings (it's ALWAYS hard) Comfort, Normal & Sport. Is it really supposed to ride smoothly in the comfort mode? Asking for my kidneys.... ?

Are you referring to the Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor? If so, it is located on the top rear section of the intake manifold.

Bill,
Mine also stays on for a short period after shifting to Drive. I believe it is switched off after reaching a certain forward speed.
After further research, I see that I am correct!

Sprocket,
I also have a 2011 Cayenne S and had the same issue. I ordered a set of four Tire Pressure Monitors (including new Valve Stems for TPM) from Suncoast Porsche. You will have to provide your VIN number to verify you have the proper frequency. Worked immediately!
They come in either 315 MHz or 433 MHz. If you order the wrong frequency they won't work. Your local dealer can also tell you which frequency your Cayenne requires.
I wish I would have seen the partsgeek.com link earlier - much cheaper there!

The sensors are located at the rear of the cylinder heads.
I also sent you a PM Carmichael15.

Speaking of when the transmitter batteries go bad - if one WERE to replace the transmitters with new ones, is a PIWIS necessary, or should it automatically sense them after driving a few miles?
-
Interestingly enough, there isn't much information out there!
I did come across a Porsche Rear Seat Entertainment (PRSE III) Display Unit Replacement for a 2011 Panamera though...
I will PM it to you...
