  1. Bilstein PSS10. Height and compliance both adjustable as you like. Incredible difference with my 996 4S @ 130k miles.
  2. This generation is VERY sensitive to the flow level/pressure of different pumps. I've had situations with my 4S where I simply gave up at one filling station, drove to another and things worked fine. In general, this is the most difficult car to put gas in I've every had. So, join the club. As annoying as it is, try filling slowly; moderating the pump trigger tends to get things done. Hope this helps.
  3. As judgejon replied, no, no spacer. Unsolicited recommendation on tires after going through about every brand/model that fits (which aren't many sets): Sumitomo. I'm rural, drive difficult roads through major heat and rain storms; stable, predictable, as good as any in the wet; no noisier than any others (i.e., lots of noise after half-life), and relatively inexpensive so when you have to replace the rears every other month (well, maybe not that often) it doesn't hurt so much. Enjoy.
