  2. Hello, I have a 986 porsche 2001 and i been having a problem with the roof retracting. The motor lifts the back spoiler but the roof doesnt go down by itself, you manually have to push it down. I noticed the Part no. 986.561.279.02 Transmission Pivot/Push Rod is broken. Before i replace it, do you know if this is the part that retracts the top? or could it be something else?
  3. thanks so much for you help, been looking on ebay for that name but is not the piece i need thanks Phillip The above is the correct part number that corresponds to the picture you posted. It is also the latest, no upgrades beyond that. There is another part with the same name in the roof mechanism so go by the number not the name. thank you. where i can find it ? porsche dealer, any site on the internet ? thanks for you help
  4. I believe the part# is 986 561 279 02 (push rod). I also think I may have read somewhere else that this part may have been updated with a superior "ball socket" on it. JP thanks so much for you help, been looking on ebay for that name but is not the piece i need thanks Phillip
