  1. I had the first X74 set in the US, now sitting in my basement. I have to say that is was the best normal suspension I have seen. I upgraded to a full race Moton setup with a lower ride height and much stiffer springs and the performance difference is amazingly small. You can drive it to the track and then RACE it at the track. Not may suspensions, particularly non adjustable ones can claim that. PAG did their homework on this one.

  2. My 99 Boxster got all funny on me this week. I first noticed the keyless entry did not work and though it must have been a week since I drove it, then the a/c fan did not work, then the headlights. A whole bunch of the electrical systems are dead. I think I lost one of the main fusible links, but where are they in this car? I looked in the fuse panel and only saw little one. Any help?

  3. Before I order a set tomorrow, I wanted to try and get some feedback from you guys who are running them. They are for race and DE only for my 996. I know they are OEM for the Cup Car so they can't be too bad. Outside of having to do routine inspections any downsides? I like the look and the repairability and the cost is competitive with similiar weight 3 pc wheels.

  4. I give up, since PCNA can't seem to get me the info I want on a cetrain Exclusive option, I want to try to call Germany. Anyone know the switchboard number? These are who I want to contact:

  5. Currently I have TRG links all around on GT3 bars. The shocks and springs are X74. This is a great street/track suspension, but I am looking to make the move to a full blown track only race suspension. I've been looking at Sachs, JRZ and Moton. The X74 handles amazingly compared to the US or even ROW 030 suspensions but it is still too soft for racing. The ride height is manageable for most driveways, a few you have to go sideways on.

  6. I run TRG links with my GT3 bars. A few thing to be aware of....

    1. TRG drop links currently only work with 2wd cars in the front. They are working on a curved droplink for the AWD but don't have one yet.

    2. The current TRG links will bind and break if placed under load in a tight radius turn situation on the stiffest two positions. This applies primarily to autocross, you will never get tight enough on a track. They are working on a fix, but for now, if you autocross, stay out of the first two holes on the front bar.

  7. I guess there are a few issues for me in turn 10. The X74 is definitely a weakness compared to a full race suspension and as such I can only take this turn at 80-90mph. Typically closer to 80 as I am doing DE's there and not races. I can come out of turn 9 at 80 and accel up to about 120 before braking into 10. With the RS14's the car will ABS after the initial brake stab but usually does not stay in it if the tires are hot and the surface is good. Maybe if I had bigger brakes that would be different. I am running 245-35-18 Hoosier R0S03s up front and 285-30-18's in the rear.

  8. Good info Carl. I have been researching the same stuff for my car.

What is your opinion on single springs verses shorter springs with helpers?

You mentioned getting rid of the rubber bushings. Where can I get poly or metal bushings? I guess the cup car is a logical option. Any part numbers? I need to get that **** parts book for the cup car! Hopefully motorsports will call me back one of thes days.
