  1. Purchased the durametric cable, plugged in, cleared codes. Car is now running again but I am back to the central locking key not working. I suspect its related to the last 2 codes I cant get rid of, instrument cluster and tiptronic codes. I will start to work on them later, just happy to have it running again and I can use it via locking with the key in the door, old school. Special thanks to Loren and Durametric. :-)
  2. Ok, great. Thx. :-) I am using Autel MaxiDiag Elite tool. I just tried a few more things, i removed the B8 and C3 fuses and ran diags again, no errors. so then, put C3 back in, no errors. then put B8 back in, errors are back. Trying to use power of deduction. One of the reads i had an abs error thrown up but was able to clear that no problem. Also just removed the alarm module and inspected it, looks ok, no blown fuses or resistors. James NOTE: on the bonnet hood latch, i noticed when i used the cable to pull the latch with no batter, it remained tight and wouldnt spring back to return, i had to do that manually, maybe that is something to do with the issue from Gromit?
  3. I just changed the battery on my 996, it was dead so i tried all the methods in the manual to jump the system with the connector in the fuse box, no good, all efforts failed. I then went into the wheel arch and pulled the stainless cable to pop the bonnet. Changed the battery. Now, i have the following issues; Porsche Software Number [I48] 3 Alarm system 54 Radio reciever faulty 34 Passenger compartment monitoring sensor 46 Control locking synchronization 14 Right door secured, but not locked 60 Central locking limit position lock not reached 59 Central locking limit position secure not reached 10 Voltage failure at terminal 30 with alarm system active 11 Voltage failure during alarm output I cant erase codes, when i try this happens; Negative response Key:33 Press "OK" to Continue OR Stop With Button "CANCEL" ! Any suggestions from this point would be appreciated..... I suspect the issue is the module,... if there is one, as before the battery i have never had an issue with the car.
