  1. The thing is the wire from the climate control was not hooked up. It was left cut. Your right though someone found the compressor clutch stuck on and was trying to stop it, when they saw that cutting the wire didn't shut it off taped it off and left it not wanting to replace the compressor.
  2. Thanks! Trying not to have to take it to the dealer which is quite a ways away.
  3. On this Cayenne I just acquired the latest problem I discovered is the a/c is not blowing cold. Checked the compressor and discovered the yellow-violet wire to the plug was cut and crudely taped off, the other red/blue wire was spliced then hooked to the plug at the compressor and has 13 volts to it all the time the cars on. Also I noted the clutch on the compressor is always engaged with the plug hooked up or disconnected and a/c on or off ? there is gas pressure in the system. Question is the clutch or compressor bad and why is there two wires one hot one not going to the compressor? The wire schematic shows one constant hot wire from the fuse and one going to the climate control? wonder how that works? Oh I hooked back up the cut wire with no change resulting. Thanks for any help!
  4. Pulling the # 14 then the #13 fuses results in the same outcome...cranking and a couple second start then stop. Any recommendations on a decent fuel pressure tester that has the correct adapters? The one at Harbor freight has some bad reviews and the local parts stores have testers for domestic fuel systems.Might be the regulator or a clogged filter (have no idea how long the fuel has been in the tank) this came about suddenly.??
  5. I have a recent purchase of a 04 Cayenne S. with 81k That needs some TLC that I'm giving it. When I got the car it started right up and ran pretty well. Installed a new battery and went on a few test hops etc and took care of some other issues. Today I went to start it and it just cranked and cranked then started for about 5 seconds and cut off. I've tried it numerous times while pulling fuses etc with the same result. Does this sound like a fuel pump / filter/ regulator issue? I have no idea of the past maint, on the truck. Any ideas? Thanks!
