I have a MY00 with the SSR GT2 rims, they are a 5 spoke open style 3 piece rim. I have a silver car, with color matched rims. I have changed out the side maker lights etc. I was going for that Mono color look. BUT... I thought that I might paint the brakes bright red. I think that would really set of the car. Is this DIY project or should I have a shop do it? Next how do I get the Porsche logo back on there. I will do a photo log of this project and post it if anybody can point me in the right dir. Thank guys

The water is coming from behind the radio somewhere. Running down the font firewall and pooled in the front left corner of the footwell on the passanger side. How on earth would water get down that way.

I have a MY00 2.7L. I live in Boston and we have been getting a ton of rain and I have not had any issuse's with water in my car. I then went to a Touch-Less car wash yesterday and the water pressure was so strong it got water through my window seals! my left are got pretty wet. No biggie I thought. I drove the car another 100 + miles that day. Yes really that far.. and no other issuse's. I went to use the car this morning and the passanger footwell was pretty wet. As I took a spin around the 'hood & water trickled out on to my feet in the drivers side. ( mind you its sunny today) What do you think I should do? :cursing: Did I mess up my car somehow by taking to that car wash? Oh and just for fun my Od reads 50997 miles. Nice just out of factory! GRRRRR Any help or ideas would be great

I was right, its a HFS-12 from the Nokia car kits, most likely the CARK-91. you are right it is a Nokia cell phone speaker. I pulled it out this morning. Thanks and good call

Hey guys, I have a MY00 2.7 and I am thnking about adding a strut brace. I have heard everything from adding front only, to both and rear only. -Is this true, by adding both front and rear strut braces you are more like to go "up on 3" -By adding both the steering becomes a bit twitchy... - A rear strut brace is not needed because of the increased sheet metal back there already due to the engine mounts etc.. I am looking to do very light track work and mostly back road fun! Thanks everybody. Oh and if it makes a differance I have the SSR rims Pic below

I have a MY00 2.7 with aftermarket 18" SSR GT2 rims. Well I was driving in light city traffic today and out of nowhereI heard a soft scratching/squealing sound. Hmmm Well the car has been sitting outside for a week +, and in Boston it has been raining like crazy fo 10days straight. I thought it might be just a bit or rust on the rotors so I used the brakes a bit to try to break them back in. Well, it stopped. Then a couple of bocks later it came back BUT LOUD!!! It sounded like I had no brake pads and the pads where out of wack and rubbing. I hopped out and took a look. There was nothing stuck, the rotor showed no rust and the pads look like the have plenty of life in them. This noise stopped just as sudden as it started. I parked went about may way. Came out 2 hours later and it was back. I double checked to Ebrake (which is a bit loose) and pumped the brake a bit when the car was parked. The noise went away again. Aghhh I have a car show to go to on Sunday! What is wrong with my ride! Please any ideas of were to look would help. I have a long (+6hours rally ride) this weekend. Thanks guys

I have a '00 will that work for the clear light switch?? I just bought clear side marker lights and would love to keep things even. Any idea what the cost would be?? Oh and my factory Lugs are looking pretty rough, why doesn't Porsche make rust proof like their cars. Thanks,

Well I can never tell that my door locks, because it dos not confirm my "locking" with a audio anything... that might be a good future hack????

I have a '00 2.7L with 50k miles. She has been working great....but.. I noticed my car never honk/beeps when I lock the door via the key fob. Anybody have any idea where to start looking or what the issuse is? Thank for all your help guys!

I have a 00' 2.7L I was poking around in the pass. footwell and there was what appeared to be a small speaker hanging under the dash. I just bought the car a month ago. I thought it might be a alarm speaker, but any ideas would be great! Thanks

I would love to be a tester! I have been looking high and low to add some sound to my little car. I thought about using a pair of 6" JL's in the door and then maybe comp's in the dash and rear.... But if you have any better ideas I would like to hear it. I live in Boston, but I travel to NYC fairly often. Let me know, at the very least how you make out. I have a 2000 2.7L with a clutch pedal that squeaks, and drives me NUTZ! The noise came mostly at the end of the pedal travel. I took a look down there and put just a touch of WD40 down there. Nothing helps! What do I do?? Any ideas????? Help!
